As a Counselling Psychologist who has worked in various healthcare settings in both the public and private systems I am experienced in relating to clients from diverse backgrounds, gender identities, neurotypes, stages of life and experiences. My practice is based in Moorabbin where I service the Bayside area and greater Melbourne.
My areas of interest include supporting clients in navigating attachment in relationships and dating, managing emotional avoidance as well as addressing and healing emotional deprivation and neglect in childhood.
In recent years I have been working in the area of neurodiversity including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder in adults and have an interest in supporting clients to navigate these areas, particularly those who have been diagnosed later in life.
I have developed compassionate listening skills and support an environment for clients to feel safe, heard and understood as a whole person. I believe it is integral to focus not only on psychological suffering, but also on growth and forward momentum in life.
I feel it is important to tailor therapy to the individual, rather than a one size fits all approach, and to do this I draw from evidence-based approaches including Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy.
