I am a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor and endorsed Counselling Psychologist and provide supervision to both Registered and Provisional Psychologists.
I have been registered as a Psychologist since 2016 and in that time have worked in both Community Health and Private Practice which has allowed me to develop and refine my skills in working with diverse client groups. I work with complex presentations (eg personality disorder, comorbidities, chronic, and impulsive suicide/self-harm risk and crisis presentations), as well as more moderate mental health presentations.
My approach to supervision is to nurture and support the development of the supervisee’s existing skills and professional identity, support them to gain insight into their responses and learn to observe themselves in their sessions with clients, as well as developing creativity in their approach to assessment and intervention which will help them to develop individualised approaches to each of their clients throughout their career.
My formulations when considering treatment are often informed by attachment theory, as well as systems theory and I encourage supervisees to consider how the client’s relationships, culture and internal frame of reference may affect the formulation.
If you would like to discuss supervision with me, please contact me and we can make some time to discuss your needs and determine if we would be a good fit.
